LUMIÈRE BINOCULARS, PARIS, WAR OFFICE MODEL WITH CASE - WORLD WAR I
A pair of binoculars manufactured in France for the British Army. Marked “LUMIÈRE PARIS”; the tubes bear the inscriptions “WAR OFFICE” and “MODEL.” The optics are in working order. Two movable, extendable rings serve as sunshades on the lower lenses.
Includes an original carrying case marked “MADE IN ENGLAND.” The strap extending the flap attachment was originally sewn to the bottom of the case.
