"La Perla" Alabaster Table Lamp, Carved by Umberto Stiaccini
first quarter 20th century, Italian, depicting a nymph resting on a clam shell, held aloft by three angels, the nymph hiding the light socket, a brass name plate on the front signed "U. Stiaccini, Firenze, Made in Italy".

Provenance: The Estate of Donald J. Hurst, Waterloo, Iowa.
Condition Report: In overall good estate condition. Scattered faint surface scratches, areas of abrading, and small nicks to more deeply carved areas. Soiling and scattered small pinprick-sized areas of discoloration. Several old repairs: at proper right side of rocky outcrop with accompanying slight separation and discoloration; ankle with metal band. Slight scratch/innate anomaly at figure's waist.
