[ translate ]

Property of a Dutch Collector
Eugène Boudin
1824 - 1898
La Tour Malakoff et le rivage à Trouville

signed E. Boudin, dated Trouville 1877 7bre and indistinctly inscribed (lower right)
oil on panel
32.4 by 57.5cm., 12¾ by 22⅝in.
Framed: 52.4 by 77.5cm., 20⅝ by 30½in.
Painted in September 1877.

Condition Report:
The panel is sound. UV inspection reveals some finely-executed lines and flecks of retouching scattered throughout the composition and some intermittent more concentrated areas of retouching to parts of the extreme edges. There are a few horizontal hairline cracks to parts of the left and right edges of the panel, including a 6cm-long one to the upper part of the left edge and a few smaller ones to the right edge. There is a tiny nick to the centre of the right edge and some extremely minor paint shrinkage to the seated woman in the left half of the work. This work is in overall fairly good condition.

Condition 11 of the Conditions of Business for Buyers (Online Only) is not applicable to this lot.
