Labelled Pietro Landolfi - 4/4 - - Violin

Up for auction is a nice antique 4/4 violin for professional musician or collector. The label says: Pietro Antonio Figlio di Carlo Ferdinando Landolfi in Mailand al Segno della Serena l'Ano 1793. The instrument remains in good condition with some small repaired cracks on top, new rosewood and ebony set up and new strings. The inlaid purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The original varnish of golden brown color remains in good condition. The softly flamed two pieces maple back measures 355 mm. The total length of the violin is 585 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 165 mm; middle bouts: 113 mm; lower bouts: 205 mm. Medium grained spruce top. Lion form scroll. Beautiful model with a very elegant natural amber patina, very high quality of woods, perfect details all over. Shipping worldwide insured!
