Lancia - Dilambda - 1929

[ translate ]

This 1929 signed Lancia Dilambda is an early European version of the Dilambda. This car was bought from the widow of the Schlumpf brothers, founders of the famous Chlumpf Bugatti Museum in Mulhouse, France. There was a large collection of cars in the widow’s barn that never made it to the museum, this collection, except for the Dilambda, was sold/shipped to the USA. Chassis No. 27/306. - Mot. Tipo 81 - Engine No. 433. - Odometer reading 48,049 km. As mentioned, this Lancia was bought in France by the current Dutch owner. They rebuilt this Lancia Dilambda from the bottom up to its former glory. The body, from the bulkhead / dashboard to the rear lights, was handmade by the current owner using an English wheel, a sand-filled leather bag and a wide collection of sheet metal, hammers and bags. The engine has been completely overhauled and parts renewed where possible, the bearings are new as well as the pistons and piston springs. The valves have been cleaned and honed. The crankshaft was honed and the engine rebored, the crankshaft was balanced for assembly. The gearbox still has all the original gears but the bearings have been renewed. The gearbox shifts well once you have mastered the technique of a double clutch. If you look at the pictures, you can see that in addition to the original details, the owner made his own contribution such as the seat upholstery and the fin tail exhaust which gives the car a very striking exhaust sound. The car is ready to start, drive and have fun with. However, please note. The car is 91 years old and fragile, i. e. treat the car with love and you’ll get love in return. Video of the Lancia: https: //www. youtube. com/watch? v=lbe. To. Zws. Wmg The car can be viewed and picked up in Oldenzaal, the Netherlands.
