Here is a nice pair of English land deeds. Item #1 of 2 : Dated October 1852. Hand written in script, with bold lettering through the document. Done on parchment paper. 15 3/8"high x 10" wide. The document shows a map of the property in question, and is high lighted in pink, and hand colored. There are also 2 , orange one pound stamps at the top, right corner of the document. Believe it or not, they have a warriors face with helmet, and a piece of silver, showing his face !! Very rare, that's for sure. The document goes to Julius Talbot Avery Esq., from Edward Avery and Thomas William Wallace ( Is it possible he may be a relative, of Sir William Wallace, who was a Scottish Knight ? Sir William Wallace was one of the main leaders, in the first Scottish War of Independence, form the England in 1297. ) Also, has 5 wax seals, of certification, as well. Item #2 of 2: Dated 1881. This document is also hand written and fancy. 19"high x 28" wide. It deals with a cottage on the Thames River. In the upper left corner, also has a blue English seal, with 2 pieces of silver !! , for Seven Schillings & Six Pence .Notarized and wax seal by: Thomas Coates & John Wigmore. Both items in fine condition, and need to be framed and mounted, and put in a place of importance ( RH). State: City: Date: 1852/ 1881.
