A well-engineered period model of an A frame supported live steam beam engine, the single cylinder having 3 ½ inch stroke by 1 1/16 bore. The cylinder with wooden plank lagging and brass strapping, inside steam chest and steam valve linked to an eccentric on the open crank, fitted speed governor with shut-off linkage to inlet, Watts parallel motion, spoked flywheel and cast-iron sole plate mounted on wooden stand.
