C. 1570-1070 BC - New Kingdom Period A interesting and vibrant blue faience amulet of Ptah, a deity worshipped as a creator god and patron of craftsmen. He wears a detailed broad collar and holds an ostrich feather in each hand. The feather of Ma'at represents justice, balance, truth and morality. Although damaged it has good detail and of a large size with strong colour. Ref: Similar example in Amulets by W. M. Flinders Petrie. Plate XLVI.
