Large Campanian Black Glazed Skyphos

Magna Graecia, South Italic, Campanian, ca. 4th century BCE. A sizeable skyphos of an elegant curvaceous form that tapers dramatically toward the base with twin horizontal loop handles. Contributing even more to its beauty is the black glaze which has developed a gorgeous silvery and rainbow iridescence that is almost mirror-like! In a word - WOW! Size: 9.25" W handle span x 5.875" H (23.5 cm x 14.9 cm)
