Large Chinese Cloisonne Censer

The compressed globular body enameled against a blue ground, depicting blooming lotus borne on leafy scrolls and stylized shou characters, below bands of lappets and ruyi heads, the cover enameled with two pairs of dragons pursuing flaming pearls amidst clouds and above waves, with a foo lion type knob, flanked with a pair of geometric handles, all supported on three gilt cabriole legs issuing from beast mask to paws carrying balls. 17.6inch H, 12.2inch D.
