Large Chinese Enameled Gilt Silver PRC Box
Chinese Republic Period gilt silver box with an ornate enameled design of scrolling waves along the base and lid of the box and two cartouches on the sides of the box depicting two gold fish amongst waterlilies and other underwater flora. The remainder of the sides are decorated with a filigree Vitruvian scroll pattern and turquoise stones, which are additionally set along the rim and as a finial decoration along the lid. The interior of the box is rounded and gilt silver. Marked "Silver" along the underside.
