Large Chinese Famille Rose Moon Flask, 19th Century

A large Chinese famille rose moon flask dating from the 19th century. It features two roundels: one contains a courtly scene, and the other depicts a deer hunt. The roundels are set against a pink ground with lotus tracery and bats. The mouth of the vase is decorated with a ruyi band, and the foot with a stylized leaf band. The flask has a pair of Chilong handles.

Dimensions: 18 7/8 inches tall X 14 inches wide; 47.9 cm tall X 35.6 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: One handle has been reattached. The rim and the bottom of the flask has significant repair and overpainting. There are firing cracks to the interior. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
