This large Chinese-style barrel drum features a rounded wooden body with a warm honey-brown finish. The drum head is constructed from thick hide, secured to the frame by two rows of decorative metal studs. Its bulbous form and traditional construction suggest it was designed for ceremonial or folk music use.
