A large and fine antique or vintage Chinese carved celadon jade Phoenix-form water coupe /vessel, the recumbent mythical bird turning its head sharply and grasping the leafy stalk of a lotus blossom in its beak, finely detailed with its four-clawed feet folded under its body, its plumage defined with short incisions, the top of the bird's body hollowed to form a cavity.
