Large Egyptian Eye of Horus Appliqué
Late Period, 664-332 BC. A glazed composition appliqué formed as the Eye of Horus with horizontal bar above supporting a recumbent lioness (Sekhmet?) with facing head. 11.6 grams, 46mm (2"). From the private collection of jewellery designer Natalia Josca (1933-2007), New York, USA; her collection formed personally from 1972-early 1980s, much of which was later made into designer jewellery.
