A large Egyptian limestone head of Osiris, Late Period, c. 664 - 30 BC, carved to be seen from the front, wearing Atef crown and uraeus, the facial features nicely detailed. H: 9 1/8 in (23.1cm). Mounted on custom stone base. Ex London private collection originally acquired in Al Sharqia, Egypt in the early 1900's, thence by descent.
