Large Lladro "Early Awakening" Porcelain Statue

Large Lladro "Early Awakening" Porcelain Statue
c. 1998, Spanish
The Lladró "Early Awakening" (Model #01012369 / 12369), originally titled "Temprano Amanecer" in Spanish, is a monumentally scaled masterpiece from Lladró's artistic Gres Collection. Sculpted by the celebrated artisan Antonio Ramos, this highly dramatic piece was issued in 1998 and officially retired from production on March 1, 2017. It depicts an elegant, draped young woman posing with a large water jug (pitcher), conveying a rare balance of fluid grace, emotional vulnerability, and sculptural depth. Unlike the ultra-glossy finish found on common Lladró pieces, this figurine is crafted in a signature matte Gres finish. This medium uses unique earthy tones and satin-smooth textures that highlight the intricate folds of the drapery and anatomical details
