Large Model OF The 1934 Yacht "Rainbow"

Exhibition quality model of the 1934 America's Cup defender "Rainbow", a J class yacht designed by W. Starling Burgees, built by the Herreshoff Company and owned by Harold Vanderbilt. The model has a planked mahogany deck which carries skylights, cabins, wheel, binnacle, cleats, etc.. Fitted into a free standing mahogany display case with inlaid marquetry. Case dimensions; 34"L X 15"W X 70"Tall.
