Large Natural Amethyst Cave
Large natural amethyst cave, presumably from Brazil.
A natural amethyst geode (amethyst) in a vertical formation, known in the mineral world as a "cathedral." The stone has been professionally cut and worked at the base, allowing it to stand as a decorative object.
The interior of the geode reveals a deep cavity lined with hundreds of developed amethyst crystals displaying a deep, dark, and rich purple hue. The crystals are characterized by a high vitreous luster with dramatic sparkle.
The rim of the geode presents the geological growth layers of the mineral: an inner light ring of white quartz and chalcedony surrounding the purple crystals, merging into the natural dark outer rind of the rock.
The exterior of the geode is coated with a layer of black epoxy material to provide a protective layer, strength, and structural stability.
Total weight: 6.4 kg.
Height: 31 cm.
Width: 16 cm.
