Large Ottoman Cast and Engraved Brass Candlestick

Persian, probably 17th century, tulip form socket over a baluster form shaft with exaggerated teardrop knop, mid drip pan over a spreading conical base, incised decoration throughout with scrolling arabesque borders and medallions, 23 x 10-3/4 in. - Provenance: Estate of Paul W. Condition Report: large loss to socket rim, repaired break to shaft (separating but holding), losses and stress cracks to drip pan, small scattered cracks to base rim, verdigris and wax residue, dents, scratches, and other wear consistent with age and use
