Large Pair Manufacture de Sevres Vases, 1875

An exceptional and large pair of Manufacture de Sevres twin handled porcelain vases. Beautiful cobalt blue ground with gold flecks and veins emulating lapis lazuli. Applied gilt bronze twin handles with figural headed beauties, several gilt band accents to the neck and base. With shape lozenge year marks of 1873 and 1872 respectively and Dore A Sevres decoration year marks of 1875 at the inside of the mouths, the undersides with incised letters and numbers including year 72 and one with corresponding lozenge mark.
