Large Qajar Roundel of a Persian Gentleman

Early-mid 20th century AD. A substantial slate(?) roundel with one carved face, raised rim with running tendril motif, hatched field with flowers and tendrils, reserved facing image of a male with large moustache, short legend to the lower edge. 2.4 kg, 23.7cm (9 1/4"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired in the 1970s. [No Reserve]
