Large Roman Mosaic Panel with Pair of Ostriches

2nd-3rd century AD. A large mosaic frieze depicting a pair of courting ostriches with the male chasing the female to the right, on a background of wind-blown leaves; both the birds with ruffled feathers, the one to the left peering behind; composed of small tesserae in mainly earth colours with matrix border.
