Large Satsuma Urn with Samurai, Meiji

A large Japanese Satsuma covered urn dating from the Meiji period. The base of the urn features a scene with 5 warriors in a landscape and a scene with 3 warriors and 2 nobles in a landscape. The lid features a lion finial.

Dimensions: 24 1/2 inches tall X 12 inches wide; 62.2 cm tall X 30.5 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: Overall good condition with minor iron spots. The lid has a possible repair.
