first quarter 20th century, by Black, Starr & Frost, New York, New York, the square glass inkwell with canted corners and edges, with a hinged silver collar and pommel cap decorated with embossed floral scrolls, presented on a conforming silver underplate, decorated en suite.

Condition Report: **In generally good condition with no significant issues noted beyond some surface wear consistent with age. Some scuffs on the glass and some tiny frits on the lower corners and one on one upper corner. Light scratches and dings on the silver, but no dents or repairs. No monograms or removals. Silver elements marked "Black, Starr & Frost", "Sterling" and with the Black, Starr & Frost "displayed eagle" trademark.
