DESCRIPTION: Vintage Shiwan ware ceramic sculpture depicting a warrior donning body armor and performing an infelicitous form of the gongshou ("fist-in-palm salute") signifying mourning. Marked on interior of cloth between legs with impressed seal script marks (one of which claims Qianlong origin) and written cursive Han characters.
