A substantial sheet-silver bowl with central discoid omphalos, three tiers of intersecting raised lotus petals, chamfered rim. 765 grams, 28cm (11"). Very fine condition.

Property of a North London lady; gifted from her father's collection; formerly with Bonhams, London, 15 October 2008, lot 165; previously with a Mayfair gallery, London, UK; previously in a late 1970s-early 1980s collection; accompanied by a copy of the relevant Bonhams catalogue pages; this lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by AIAD certificate number no.159304-10076.
