Beautiful slice of pallasite in which you can see different colours of olivines, from brown to yellow, including green hues. Polished and treated for its preservation. Pallasites contain approximately 50% metal (iron and nickel) and 50% silicates (in olivine form) . They come from the inside of large asteroids. Pallasites are one of the most beautiful types of meteorites that exist. They are named after the German zoologist and botanist Peter Simon Pallas, who discovered the first specimen of this type of meteorite in Siberia, Russia in 1772.
