Large and rare bronze basin

LARGE AND RARE BRONZE BASIN.

Origin: China.
Dynasty: Western Han dynasty (206 BC - 6 AD).
Technique: Bronze with dark green, partly crusty patina.
Description: The bulbous, squat body drawn in towards the outswinging lip and decorated with seven
narrow relief lines. As handles a mask with small eyelet on each side. Inside in the well,
a pair of fishes in fine relief lines. The foot ring worked out in five narrow lines.
Measurement: Weight 2740g. Height 20cm, ⌀ 29cm.
Condition A/B. Old repairs, maybe from casting holes.
