Large, blunted and polished sperm whale tooth (Physeter macrocephalus), engraved with a scrimshaw design depicting a whaling ship on the port side on one face, with traces of engravings on the other face. Ancient drill holes at the tip and root, indicating that this tooth was likely a traditional Fijian tabua traded to a whaling ship that had stopped at port.
