Large giltwood mirror with candlestick holders - Victorian - Giltwood - circa 1860
A beautiful antique Victorian English Giltwood 'Bulls eye' girandole mirror. Beautiful, large and imposing. The mirror boasts three entirely giltwood sconce branches, which is quite unusual as most of them consist of metal sconces. The branches are intertwined and take the form of folliate swags. A finial to the base of the mirror completes the mirror. As wtih most giltwood mirrors, this has been re-gilded in the past. The back of the mirror has a new piece of wood ensuring the mirror remains safely within the case. A truly stunning piece that is quite hard to find. Approximate dimensions: 57 cm high 41 cm wide 20 cm deep
