Large nautical ruler, signed and dated 1829
Large wrought-iron navigation and cartography ruler, preserved in its original case lined with brown leather featuring an embossed design. The ruler features a sliding brass knob engraved with a monogram and bears an engraved signature surrounded by foliage motifs. The case bears the same initials as well as the date 1829. This instrument was used for drawing and transferring lines onto nautical charts.
