Large sculpture of a sitting lion in a pedestal - 117 cm - Wood - First half 20th century

A very beautiful sculpture of a seated lion. The lion is nicely rendered in a stately posture, imposing and intriguing. It is made of wood and has a wooden pedestal. Origin: Netherlands. Dates from the first half 20th century. Details lion: Dimensions: 57 x 14 x 16 cm Weight: 6. 6 kg. Details pedestal: Dimensions: 60 x 25 x 24 cm Weight: 3. 4 kg. The sculpture has a monogram (see pictures) that resembles that of visual artist Tjipke Visser, but is was probably not made by him. It has minor flaws and is in good condition, the pictures speak for themselves. A decorative eye-catcher of no less than 117 cm in total.
