Late 19th toile de Jouy Piece of fabric (1) - Cotton - Late 19th century
This is a beautiful piece of "Toile de Jouy" fabric with a excellent length of 2m80 wide and 1m15 wide. It is so very French and so much part of their Patrimoine and can still be seen these days in Manoirs and Chateaux and particularly in bedrooms. It has been made as a curtain and the original lining is stil lattached. PLEASE NOTE: A small piece on the side has been perished in the sun and can easily be removed. Right at the bottom are two small holes where you can just cut off 5 cm altogether. Ready for making up in whatever you desire to us it for.
