Late Victorian gem butterfly brooch

A late Victorian ruby, sapphire, split pearl and diamond point butterfly brooch.

Length 4.8cms. 13.8gms.

Condition Report:
Scratches, varied marks, discolouration.
Replacement brooch fittings.
Pin loose at hinge, requires attention.
One leg is split, slightly dented.
Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment.
One diamond deficient.
Two replacement, pavillion-set diamonds.
Glue visible to few mounts.
Sapphires appear a fairly well matched light blue. One sapphire to eye noticeably chipped.
Rubies appear a bright pinky red through deep medium slightly purplish red. One with nick to edge of the table facet.
