Late Victorian silver paper clip with unofficial Eton College motto "Floreat Etona"

Late Victorian silver sprung desk letter clip, in the form of an heraldic shield with a lion rampant against a gules background and eight swords or daggers and the unofficial motto of Eton College "Floreat Etona". Base, with engraved presentation inscription, on four ball feet (Birmingham 1899) maker's mark BN. All at approximately 3ozs. 9.5cm overall length.
