A large and impressive hand carved sculpture of a classic Bishop, Metropolitan, or Pope in two tone color wood, with right hand raised in the traditional gesture of papal benediction, a partially outstretched hand with fourth and little fingers curled inward, which dates to Biblical times. Nice details to face and mitre crown. Presented on a dark brown wooden base from which the lamp hardware and electrical wiring emerge. Good vintage condition with patina overall.
