Laura Taylor for UND Pottery or School of Mines, North Dakota, USA. Rare art pottery pot in an uncommon matte green crystalline glaze decorated with a carved band and two buffalo heads. Created by Laura Taylor who was a student and assistant at UND in the late 1930s. She became supervisor of the North Dakota Ceramics WPA Program from 1936-39. Taylor also started Wahpeton Pottery (Rosemeade) in 1940. Marked with the UND School of Mines inkstamp and hand incised "Taylor Lat 7" along the underside.
