Lauren Bacall Signed Photograph Collection! Fantastic!
Signed photograph
Exceptional collection of three photographs depicting Lauren Bacall with her husband and frequent screen partner Humphrey Bogart, each boldly signed in black felt tip by Bacall. The group includes a color reproduction of the theatrical poster for the 1947 Warner Bros. film "Dark Passage," prominently featuring Bogart and Bacall; a classic black-and-white romantic portrait of the couple face-to-face; and a dramatic film still showing Bacall beside a seated and bound Bogart. The photographs capture the unmistakable chemistry of one of Hollywood's most celebrated couples both on and off the screen. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by an RR certificate covering all items. Each measures 8" x 10".
Lauren Bacall and Humphrey Bogart first appeared together in Howard Hawks's "To Have and Have Not" in 1944, Bacall's feature-film debut. Their celebrated screen chemistry developed into a real-life romance, and the couple married in 1945, remaining together until Bogart's death in 1957. They appeared together in four films: "To Have and Have Not," "The Big Sleep," "Dark Passage," and "Key Largo," a remarkable sequence of films that helped define the sophisticated style and atmosphere of postwar Hollywood. Bacall went on to a career spanning more than six decades across film, television, and the Broadway stage, receiving two Tony Awards and an Academy Honorary Award. These three signed images offer an especially evocative tribute to Bacall and Bogart, preserving the enduring screen partnership and personal relationship of two icons of Hollywood's Golden Age.
This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.
