Creating since the 1990s, French artist Laurence JENKELL, who became JENK in 2020, is known for her vibrantly colored Wrapping Bonbons sculptures.
She sculpts larger-than-life candies, in bright colors and varying sizes, in materials such as bronze, plexiglass, aluminum and marble.
Although Candy remains his favorite subject, his latest packaging creations,
“wrapping twist” reflect environmental issues such as the depletion of coffee-producing land, the proliferation of non-biodegradable disposable products, and the poaching of endangered animals.
JENK - Laurence JENKELL was decorated Knight of Arts and Letters by the Minister of Culture in 2020.
His work is present in more than 25 countries. She is represented by numerous galleries and is part of important private, public and institutional collections.
