Very beautiful Doufeu casserole dish from the famous Cousances/Le Creuset factory.
It is in excellent condition despite some slight signs of use due to its age.
Made from very robust enameled cast iron.
Its volcanic orange color, emblematic of the brand, gives it a very vintage feel.
This casserole dish is equipped with a hollow lid intended to receive cold water or ice cubes in order to optimize interior condensation. To be more precise, the steam will be trapped and condense into droplets following contact with cold water or ice cubes. The droplets will then continually hydrate the food during cooking. It’s a magical cooking concept, guaranteeing the softness of each dish.
It measures 39cm long with the handles (31 without) , 24cm wide and 16cm tall with the lid (12cm without) . All this for a weight of 6,200kg.
