A major French sea atlas, originally published in 1745, though d'Après continued working on it for another 30 years. This edition considerably expanded, with 68 total maps. d'Apres also published a supplemental volume which gives navigation instructions and which is also featured in this sale.
Condition Report: Front and back exterior hinges cracked, severe rubbing to extremities with much loss, leather flaking and exposed boards, head and tail of spine disintegrated; staining to most pages at bottom right corner, offsetting and some foxing; overall good.
