Le Verre Français Charles Schneider - Vase - 30.5 cm, Cameo - Glass

[ translate ]

Very rare French Art Deco vase made of acid-etched glass by the glass manufacturer Charles Schneider - Le Verre Français; large and elegant, with a beautiful floral decoration in a strong blue color.

It is one of the first creations of this type of cameo glass from the Charles Schneider Manufactory around 1918/1919, which makes this vase a rare collector's item.

As with almost all Schneider vases with this early cameo decoration, a signature is missing. Nevertheless, this vase can be attributed without a doubt to Charles Schneider, because these decorations are discussed in the book "Schneider - Le Verre Français" by MC Joulin and G. Maier, 2020 edition (see last picture) .

Height: 30. 5 cm (12 inches) , diameter of vase base: 11 cm (4. 3 inches) , diameter of vase opening: 9 cm (3. 5 inches) ; weight: 796 g

Condition: There are some production defects (mainly inside the vase) , such as a burst glass bubble. But I think something like that increases the charm of such an antique object! Overall, the vase is in very good condition with only minimal signs of wear. Please look at the pictures, which are part of the description
