Lee Enfield SMLE MkV bolt action rifle, serial number A5252, 24.5inch barrel, replaced wood forend from a standard SMLE, the action fitted with a magazine cut-off and hand made replacement rear sight and safety catch, the wrist joint stamped with a crown GR above Enfield 1924 Sht LE V. UK FIREARMS LICENCE WITH .303 RIFLE VARIATION OR RFD REQUIRED. Dimensions: 113.5cm longCondition Report The rifle is in average to good general condition however there are alot of replaced parts as detailed in the description. The barrel and action are probably the only original parts with the stock, sight and fittings being replacements. The bore shows no signs of damage but a fair bit of wear around the throat area where the pattern is going soft around the edges, it is sharper at the muzzle end. The action works correctly. There is some wear to the metal finish and light pitting that can be seen where the bluing has worn away. The woodwork has been converted from standard SMLE stock, there is some wood filling to make the conversion work, as well as dents and marks. More images have now been uploaded.
