[ translate ]

Circa 1910. Cristallerie Legras & Cie, St Denis. France

Sublime old large blown vase with enlarged base, enameled decoration of a delightful lake landscape animated by a magnificent heron or wading bird under a very delicately hand-painted tree at the edge of a pond in the middle of reeds with pretty wooded hills in perspective in the distance.
Very pretty decor inspired by the Vosges native forest of Legras who loved him so much.

Remarkable high quality work of the enamelling and this pretty aquatic lake decoration with different subtle shades of color.

Beautiful height of 285mm with a very nice volume.

Extremely rare proof called "Lakmé" form, perfectly listed and illustrated in the famous Legras Verrier catalog raisonné.

In good condition for its great age, just note a few small cooking defects/fairly common air bubbles trapped in the glass during blowing, including one at the neck, which does not detract from the charm of this very beautiful and rare collector's item from the beginning of the 20th century by this famous master glassmaker.
