Leo Durañona Creepy #112 "Nobody's Kid" Story Pages 2-3 Original Art Group of 2 (Warren, 1979). The stairs offer no escape from a family secret paid for in blood. After overhearing his mother’s murder, the terrified boy flees the axe-wielding man he once called his father on these consecutive pages from "Nobody’s Kid." Durañona’s tight close-ups and rapid succession of vertical panels turn the pursuit into a nightmare measured in narrow escapes. The pages have image areas of 10.5" x 15" and are constructed in layers. Only Page 2 carries background imagery on the Bristol-board base, composed of stat paste-ups with white paint touch-ups in the second and final panels. An acetate overlay with ink and white paint artwork is hinged at the top and secured around the image area with production tape. A vinyl text overlay is also taped along the top edge. Two text paste-ups are covered with tape, one is affixed askew, and one is missing ("You told me he was mine! You was lyin’ all these years! You and my brother Jesse -- why?"). Light toning, blue pencil editorial marks, a minor spot stain, smudging, and moderate handling wear. Overall, in Very Good condition.
