Léon Noireaut was a French impressionist, born in 1886 and died in 1960. He studied at the academy of Beaux Arts. Noireaut grew up in Paris. The offered piece was also made in this city. It gives a nice impression around 1930 of a winter cityscape. The beautiful light in the shop windows and reflected in the cars give the work a warm atmosphere. The work is signed on the bottom left.
