Leonidas

The Leonidas watch factory dates back to 1841 in Saint-Imier, was merged with Heuer in 1964, and the brand was discontinued after the company was transformed into TAG Heuer in 1985. It was a major manufacturer of chronographs and stopwatches and is associated with the Bourquin and Jeanneret families and the Beau-Site district. Until the 1930s, the mark was usually written as "Léonidas", although the accented e was rarely used thereafter.

Great observation watch clock in a steel case. Labeled Léonidas.

Original black dial signed LÉONIDAS. The dial is in very good condition. Arabic luminous numbers with very large 12/3/6/9 and external seconds scale with Arabic 5 numbers. White solid luminous hands. Small second on the six. 30 minute counter under twelve

Chronograph pusher at the one.

Pressed back cover with signs of age. Inside 159984

Watch diameter without pedant 59mm. With Pedant 82mm. Height 15mm. Weight 118. 3g.

Very good overall condition of the watch. A rarely offered observation watch from Leonidas watch production. Extremely rare version with a perfect dial. Rarity.
