Letter from Rabbi Nachum Partzovitz Regarding His Immigration to Eretz Yisrael Following the Shanghai Exile; New York, 1949

Long handwritten letter from a young Rabbi Nachum Partzovitz describing his personal considerations regarding his immigration to Eretz Yisrael.
Known at the time as “the prodigy Rabbi Nachum Truker,” he included Torah novella on tractate Bechoros in the margins of the letter along with an update of the arrival of the Mashgiach, Rabbi Chatzkel Levenstein, in Eretz Yisrael.
The letter is addressed to his uncle, Rabbi Yechezkel Partzovitz, Rosh Yeshiva of Tiferes Tzvi, and was sent from New York in 1949. Several months later, in Tamuz of 1949, Rabbi Nachum indeed immigrated to Eretz Yisrael.
