Letter of Torah Novellae from Rabbi David Wesseli, AB"D Pressburg; 1917

Long letter including Torah novellae regarding the matter of tolesh (uprooting) on Shabbos as well as other matters, handwritten by Rabbi David Wesseli, Av Beis Din of Pressburg.

Rabbi David Wesseli (1868 - 1942) son of Rabbi Eliyahu Baruch Wesseli, author of Atarah L'Yoshna and a disciple of the Shevet Sofer.. He was the son-in-law of Rabbi Abba Chiya Hirsch, Av Beis Din of Sered, and served as the Dayan there from 1893. In 1920 he was appointed Rosh HaDayanim in Pressburg and in his great humility requested that they not crown him with this title. He served in this capacity for more than twenty years until his passing in 1942. His treatises were published in Shemen Vered Responsa and Novellae.
